Cream Abdul Jabbar, Larry Nerd, Larry Blurred, Steph Blurry, and Milk Chamberlain

Games tipped off early this morning, which is another reason why conference tournaments are so great, starting with (1) High Point vs. (9) Radford in the Big South. The first half was close, but High Point easily disposed of Radford in the second half. The game that followed was a great game for a while as we watched (4) Winthrop get beat by (5) Longwood in a contest that was close, but Longwood pulled away late. 4 people suffered a brutal loss with Winthrop, but Matthew is sitting alone with 5-seeded Longwood.

The Missouri Valley conference quickly followed in the afternoon with (1) Indiana State vs. (9) Missouri State. The entire country was able to watch Robbie Avila play, also known as Cream Abdul Jabbar, Larry Nerd, Larry Blurred, Steph Blurry, and Milk Chamberlain. Indiana State pulled out the victory without much of a fight from Missouri State. The second game featured a close one between (4) Northern Iowa and (5) Belmont, with Northern Iowa ultimately winning the game.

I wanted to get this blog entry posted with the Winthrop and Belmont losses updated on the standings, but we still have a long night of basketball ahead of us, and I'll be posting a blog entry later tonight.
