Atlantic Sun Championship Game Set and A Penguin Died Tonight

We have our first championship game set courtesy of the Atlantic Sun where (2) Stetson will take on (4) Austin Peay. Both teams suffered a scare tonight as Stetson had to hit a buzzer beater to knock off Jacksonville, and Austin Peay held off a comeback attempt from North Alabama. Only Sully and Team TNT remain in this conference, and the championship game this Sunday will give us a single winner. Amazing games and congrats to both people in our pool for surviving.

Moving over to the Horizon League, it was a bloodbath with pool favorite, and analytics favorite, (2) Youngstown State losing to (7) Cleveland State, and bonus point darling (4) Wright State lost in overtime to (5) Northern Kentucky. (8) Purdue Fort Wayne lost as expected to (1) Oakland, giving Sam I Am and Pizzy losses. Finally, (3) Green Bay was crushed by (6) Milwaukee, with Running Hoarses on the 6 seed.

A few other noteworthy mentions that impact our pool include (5) Tennessee State losing to (4) Western Illinois in the Ohio Valley, and (3) Lafayette going down to (6) Lehigh in the Patriot League. I don't plan on posting a blog entry Friday morning, so if you are looking for one, I apologize. The next blog entry won't be until Friday evening to recap the day's action.
